Quality Basics For Every Wardrobe

NY Menswear Blogger

NY Menswear Blogger NY Menswear Blogger NY Menswear Blogger NY Menswear Blogger NY Menswear BloggerThis post is sponsored by Zappos, but all opinions and product selects & styling are my own!✌I’ve always been a fan of wearing basic style pieces. When I’m wearing basics, I try to find brands like 7 For All Mankind that make quality pieces. When it comes to basics, it’s all about the quality and fit! Their Long Sleeve Army Henley that I ordered from Zappos is soft and comfortable, with a thick quality that just feels good on due to the fabric used and the double-faced knit for that touch of texture. You can just tell if a piece has that quality feel to it when you put it on, and this Henley definitely does!

Known for their premium denim, the 7 For All Mankind Paxtyn Skinny Jeans fit perfect because of their really nice tapered fit. I’m not really into jeans that are too tight and look like I’m wearing leggings LOL so the fit on these, mixed with the knee rips is right up my alley! For this look I gave mine a slight cuff, because…well, I just like how a cropped jean looks sometimes!

I was able to pick up both of these pieces online at Zappos. They are one of the best online shopping sites and they literally have just about every brand you’re looking for. You can get everything you need for any occasion and the best part is that both shipping and returns are free! I shop online all the time. It’s actually where I do most of my shopping, so if you’re anything like me the one thing that makes me question making any purchase is the thought of losing out on money if I don’t like it or if it doesn’t fit. That’s why it’s a no brainer when shopping on Zappos! They honestly eliminate my hesitation of hitting that Complete Order button! 🙂

Check out all the 7 For All Mankind pieces on Zappos and try out a few different styles. This way you can try on, keep what fits and ship the rest back for free! 🙂

I’m all about being comfortable and reppin’ that casual everyday guy look. However, that doesn’t mean I want to rock my beat up sweatpants and a sweatshirt when I leave the house. I love finding cozy alternatives like a pair of baggy, soft denim jeans or a nice fitting pair of stretched chino pants like the ones I’m wearing here from Sweat Tailor. They might be called stretch chino’s but they feel just as comfy as sweatpants! The best part is you would never even know unless you felt them. So comfortable!

I feel like for a minute I was wearing a lot of neutrals, especially a lot of olive greens, but lately, I’ve really been trying to add some more bright colors into my wardrobe. Maybe it’s the warmer weather that’s finally starting to come around that has me craving some color. Sweat Tailor’s Hibiscus Salt Washed Crew really is the perfect shade of pink and I LOVE the way the color is darker around the seams, which gives it that worn-in vintage look. The salt wash not only gives it that distressed vibe, but also makes the tee super soft…and be right up there with the comfort level of the chinos. I hate a stiff feeling tee…and this one feels and falls just perfectly on! Did I mention I love the color?

I love basic pieces like these that can be added into any outfit and can be used to either dress it up or keep it casual. As my style evolves, I’ve become more and more into having an entire wardrobe of quality fitting basics that I can easily swap in and out with different looks to keep my outfits versatile. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good stand-out, loud piece from time to time for that wow factor, but having pieces like these from Sweat Tailor is definitely a must!

Beating Winter Bulkiness With a Slim Fit in Navas Lab

So you may have noticed that over the past year there has been a surge of technical garments. For the average person though, who just wants the look of the tech garment but doesn’t need it to be overly technical, NavasLab is a great choice. I got my hands on the NavasLab MADS jacket and I instantly became a fan of the company once I put it on! The inside is lined with polartec fleece, which makes the jacket super comfortable and surprisingly warm for such a lightweight jacket. The midweight soft-shell gives the jacket a very slim and fitted look (which is good since some hoodies and jackets make you look extra bulky). I like the detail of the bottom and how the back of the jacket is just a little longer than the front. The matching black zippers also adds to the refined look of the jacket. I also really dig the extra large pockets, which in this weather is great so you can fit your hands in your pockets even when you have gloves on! I already have plans to make this jacket one of my layers for when I go skiing. It’s perfect because it will keep me warm while I’m on the mountain and fashionable when I take off my ski jacket and head to the lodge bar. 🙂 The slim-fitting style is also perfect to fit right under my outer layer, without adding much bulk! From winter to chilly summer nights, it’s safe to say this jacket will be getting a lot of use! Their tech pieces are available in tall & slim (fit sizes L & XL)! All of NavasLab’s premium apparel goods are made right in Vancouver, Canada! It’s always refreshing when a company uses local vendors for their manufacturing needs, which allows them to be easily and heavily involved in the sampling of their pieces. Check this brand out and use code BCP1 to get 10% OFF Any NavasLab Purchase Until 3/31/17!
